25 Breakwaters on the beautiful Isle of Wight, is an excellent choice to book your next holiday or short break, able to comfortably accommodate up to four guests its nestled just off England’s south coast. The Island is surprisingly easy to reach and only a couple of hours from London, with regular ferries running from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington. Leave the car behind should you wish and travel here by rail and catamaran across the Solent, by booking a combined ticket from any Mainland train station to nearby Sandown.
This modern second floor apartment is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Island or sunning yourself on the beach, which is situated just in front of the building. Guests have access to a beach hut positioned opposite the apartment, which includes chairs, a wind break, buckets/ spades, rugs and parasols. Internally the apartments open plan living area has gorgeous leather sofas and a Smart TV, where you can sit in comfort and relax and enjoy the sea views from the patio doors or walk out onto the apartments wonderfully positioned balcony, where you can take in the excellent panoramic views, admire the passing ships on the English Channel, and, as the evening draws in, watch the colourful lights begin to glimmer around the curve of the bay. The nine-mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. On a lucky day, the remains of fossils can also be found! If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.
A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats. Property is on 2nd floor, not 3rd as advertised.
No sun on balcony in afternoon..not a deal breaker for us but could be for some. Perhaps mention in description?

As a family with a 12 and 7 year old we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Sandy Shores. The apartment was perfect! Very spacious, clean and had everything we need, the view out to sea was absolutely glorious. Parking was great, plenty of space and esee more

Very spacious, clean and had everything we need, the view out to sea was absolutely glorious. Parking was great, plenty of space and easy access to the lift from the car park. The beach was a short walk down a fairly steep hill via a private gate from the apartment gardens, probably 10/15 minutes’ walk could get you to the pier. The opposite way also takes you along the costal path to Lake and Shanklin.
The Island Holiday company were great, from booking the ferry to providing and confirming the access instructions just before our stay. Would highly recommend both the apartment and company, we looking forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely 6 nights at Sandy Shores. The views from the lounge are amazing! I loved preparing our meals watching out to sea from the kitchen and it’s a bonus when you can watch the sea and TV at the same time. The apartment is exceptionally cleasee more
We had a lovely 6 nights at Sandy Shores. The views from the lounge are amazing! I loved preparing our meals watching out to sea from the kitchen and it’s a bonus when you can watch the sea and TV at the same time. The apartment is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the location is great being able to see across to and walk into both Sandown and Shanklin. The rooms are so much larger than expected and we loved staying here. The under cover parking was also a bonus. Access was a little confusing as we have never encountered a key code on a door handle before and were looking for a key box, but the lady on the phone was extremely helpful.
