Littlestairs is a stunning holiday home is situated in the seaside town of Shanklin with glorious sea views from the master bedroom and balcony. The property is ideally positioned with direct access to the coastal path through the rear garden, and is within walking distance to the beach, town centre, the Old Village, Shanklin Chine, theatre, pubs and restaurants. The accommodation has been comfortably furnished to include a large open plan living/dining room with French doors leading to the garden. There is a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and extra lounge seating. Two of the 4 double bedrooms are on the ground floor and all have en-suite bathrooms. From the master bedroom there is a lovely balcony with seating so you can soak up the sun whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the bay. The large enclosed garden is ideal for al fresco dining and you will find ample parking to the side of the property.

There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. Briar Bank is a fantastic example of a Victorian house and the ideal place to stay for those looking for a home from home getaway. This characterful property retains many original features, including cornicing, traditional high ceilings and decorative fireplaces. The lounge is furnished with comfortable sofas and makes the perfect place for guests to kick back and unwind after a day exploring the Island. Should opinions be divided on what film to watch during evenings in, there is an option to decamp to the second reception room; which also has a sofa bed, for two. Follow the hall along to the back of the house, you arrive in the semi open-plan kitchen diner. The dining table is conveniently located adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen area, but being tucked around a corner means the nominated chef can eat without seeing the mess left in the kitchen! The breakfast bar is handy for more informal or on the hoof eating, whilst a separate utility room hides the washing machine and tumble dryer. A ground floor WC opposite the utility room is an added bonus for those who don't want to dash upstairs when the need arises.
Upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms, starting with a spacious master with a super king bed and a large bay window, which makes this room wonderfully light and airy. The second bedroom has dual aspect windows, so again ensures there is plenty of light and equally, plenty of space and storage. The final room is the smallest, with bunk beds that are only suited to children. A generous bathroom completes the first floor and includes a corner bath, separate shower and useful more often than not, twin wash basins.
Make the most of those balmy summer evenings by dining al fresco in the back garden or alternatively enjoy a lazy, long, lunch under the shade of the parasol. Being fully enclosed, the garden is also a safe space for children play freely.

What a genuinely wonderful place to spend a fortnight with family exploring all the island has to offer. - it’s even bigger and more beautiful in person. The garden was a real asset and the apples were delicious. Pretty walk to Shanklin seafront on see more

The garden was a real asset and the apples were delicious. Pretty walk to Shanklin seafront on the coastal path (but quite hilly in parts so bear that in mind!). Everything was clean and perfect on arrival and so many necessities were already available. Wonderful stay at Littlestairs

We recently stayed at Littlestairs for a week. The weather was mixed but we had a wonderful stay. The house itself is lovely, so well though out. Well equipped kitchen and beautiful bedrooms. The space is very well thought out for a group - enough space for people to be in the kitchen and living area and feel together. My dad who is 92 felt very at home and able to move around easily. We wnjoyed being able to watch tv together on the large sofa.
As far as location - it is excellent. We visited the Blueberry's cafe several times which is just outside the back gate. We also went to The Hideaway cafe. We walked on the beach every morning. It is near enough to Shanklin to walk - about 30 mins - or an easy drive. We found lots to do in the area and learned lots about local history.
The house was lovely to stay in and we will certainly look to book again.

Having four ensuites was a huge bonus.
The garden area is lovely and the sun rise and sunsets from the balcony are gorgeous.
The location being right on the coastal path gives easy walking access to Shanklin and Sandown with lots of cafes and cafe bars easily walkable.
We would recommend Littlestairs to anyone wanting quality accommodation with lots to do

The house was better and bigger than it looks in the photos. We were in a family of 10 with plenty of space for everyone.
We could walk to many places by the beach. The sea views from the house are beautiful as well.

There were no blinds in the upstairs bedrooms, we would wake up around 5:30 by the brightness and was hard to sleep again. They know of the issue as it was provided eye masks.

We had a beach hut on the front which was directly off the steps onto the promenade which again was so ideal! All bedrooms huge, spacious and had en-suits. No need to worry about clothing space either! Lovely sociable living/dining area. We even cooked a few meals and the kitchen was easy to use and figure out. This is the first time we stayed at littlestairs at the house and will not be our last. 10/10!!💫
