Ideal for couples or a small family, Squirrels Nest can be found in a lovely rural location in the village of Rookley, with a network of wonderful countryside walks and bike rides available to explore straight from its door.
This well presented, holiday home which sits alongside the owner’s main residence is dog friendly and can accommodate up to three guests, the accommodation comprises of one spacious and beautifully sunny bedroom with en-suite shower-room, It features a fully fitted kitchen, large sitting room with log burner and a private decking area with bike shed to its rear. The bedroom with its fantastically comfortable super king bed, can be offered as two singles on request

The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine The sitting room has a dining table to seat four, a large sofa and a cosy log burning stove. A single sofa bed is available for a third person staying if required. Externally you have a spacious driveway with parking available right outside your front door, whilst to the rear you have a private decking area with bike shed.

LOCATION:
Rookley is a beautiful village conveniently located five kilometres south of Newport near the centre of the island. It has a country park on the site of the last working Isle of Wight brickworks. There is a swimming pool and pub at the country park and another pub , the “Chequers Inn ”, a short distance from the village. The area is well served by buses to both Newport and the nearby pretty, coastal town of Ventnor.

ONE LEVEL - ANNEXE BUNGALOW

Living area: wood burner, sofa and Freeview Smart TV (and a single sofa bed can be made available on request)
Kitchen diner: electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs
Bedroom: super king bed (can be made into a twin on request), wardrobe, bedside cabinet and Smart TV, with access to courtyard
En-Suite: shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin
OUTSIDE
Private enclosed decked courtyard, with garden furniture and barbecue (access via the bedroom)
Private parking for 1 car at front of the property.

PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of £150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 1 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately.
There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the marketing only, of this property and the owners’ details will be made available to you by e-mail ahead of your arrival, should you need to contact them with any issues or queries relating to your stay, please also refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.
There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.
Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary.
Initial fuel and logs for multi-fuel / wood burners will be supplied at the beginning of your stay. Guests will be required to purchase more if required.
Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival
A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

Such a lovely accommodation. I found it was perfectly central to everything. We had a wonderful time. Clean. We had a lovely welcome from the host who was so helpful throughout our stay. So we'll equipped, everything you could possibly need.

The property was well supplied with leaflets about various IoW attractions, many of which we visited. With its central location you are never from anywhere on the island though the roads can be slow going at times!
The owners, who live next door were friendly and helpful and not in the least intrusive. We cannot recommend this property highly enough.
