Located only a stone's throw from the stunning Freshwater Bay, The Gate is a two-bedroom ground floor apartment by the sea. Designed and decorated to create a blissful coastal vibe, with plenty of original touches throughout and the addition of a hot tub.
Step inside to find the gorgeous kitchen/dining-room, decorated in calming tones, with its double doors opening out onto the patio and the spacious, private garden beyond. With the sea just a few minutes' walk away from the end of the garden, holiday days can be spent in the best way - with a refreshing dip in the sea, before heading back for breakfast on the sunny patio.
The Gate has an open plan layout with plenty of space for the family to spread out and relax; truly getting away from it all for a well-earned break. The sitting-room has two comfortable sofas, perfect for cosying up and watching a film at the end of the day. There are two beautiful bedrooms, one of which is a 'zip and link' super-king size or twin beds, you choose! The other is a double bedroom with doors leading straight out to the sunny garden. There is a lovely large shower-room and two separate WCs making it a perfect property for a family or a group of friends to come together.

LOCATION:
Freshwater Bay is one of the most picturesque beaches in West Wight and lies just to the South of the town of Freshwater. The beach is covered in a mixture of grey flint and chalk pebbles that make a unique sound as the waves rise and fall onto the shore. There is sand below the low water mark and some sandy areas to sit if you walk to the more eastern side of the bay. There is also a rock ledge revealed at low tide at this side, which is great for rock pooling with your kids.
Smugglers once used the caves around the bottom of the chalk cliffs that are exposed at low tide – if you wish to explore them it is best to find a local guide as you can become cut off by the tide. Kayaking is the ideal way to see them and the other small bays. This beach is popular for surfing and water sports and boats will moor offshore to come ashore. The Freshwater Independent Lifeboat is launched from this bay when required by those in trouble at sea.
Overlooking the bay is the Albion Hotel that houses a public bar or visit the Dimbola Museum and galleries for an afternoon tea..

ADDITIONAL CHARGES / SERVICES:
PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of £150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 1 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately.
There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.

The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.
